Massage Therapy, an ancient healing art, has brought health and regeneration to the health conscious for over 5000 yrs. The benefits of intentional touch are utilized by specific techniques that aid in calming heart-rate and blood pressure, increasing circulation of blood and the immune system, releasing the body of physical and emotional toxins that create scar tissue. The build up of scar tissue inhibits the free flow of blood, oxygen, and vital energy the body, mind, and heart need to work at optimal potential. Harmonizing the entire bodily system in this manner allows for decreased physical, mental, and emotional stress, promoting a positive perspective of life.
Deep Tissue Massage, is a compilation of ancient and modern biomedical techniques. It is a focused massage to one or two regions of the body in need of multi-level release injured by trauma or long standing compensation patterns in the body that contribute to chronic pain. This modality incorporates passive and active stretches, vigorous to subtle movement of the body and tissues, and utilizes light to deep pressure. Deep tissue massage is key for unbinding connective tissue and reducing trigger points, while retraining muscle function and tone. This technique indirectly affects the perception of the body by the brain, in order to restore harmony and communication in the musculoskeletal system.
Structural Integration is my personal description of incorporated therapies and physical awareness necessary to achieve balance and harmony in the body. This includes at home exercises and other therapies (that Faiz Healing may not be able to provide) recommended for rehabilitation and restoration of function within a treatment plan created by therapist and patient together.
CranialSacral Therapy involves balancing the entire nervous system and connective tissue structure of the body. This healing art has proven to release many from the burden of chronic or unexplainable pain, empowering the body with the strength and intelligence to handle recent or possible injuries. Each injury we incur creates a compensating reaction, forcing the body to tighten or become to loose in areas to sustain a center of balance. By re-organizing the compensation patterns of life, CST has the ability to restore the body to its complete potential and unify the functions of the spinal column. A wide range of syndromes such as TMJ, migraines, compressed or twisted bone tissue, and other structural dysfunctions have been successfully treated, subdued, and cured.
Shiatsu is a Japanese style massage that focuses on releasing tension and pain patterns in the body working a system of channels that run though out the body and correlate one part of the body to another. Acupressure of points along these channels is incorporated to access the inherent intelligence of the body as a harmonic system. How the circulation flows through these channels can greatly affect the communication of the body, heart, and mind. Acupressure of points along these channels is incorporated to access the inherent intelligence of the body as a harmonic system. This technique is essential for releasing multiple layers of the physical, mental, and emotional bodies.
Reiki stimulates the innate ability within each of us to discover our higher sensory capabilities. Laying on of hands and blending with the electromagnetic currents of each cell enables the mental, emotional, and spiritual self to cleanse and remove debris from the entire system. Debris is a general term for emotional, mental, and physical scar tissue, as well as, excessive negative or discordant vibrations lingering from past occurrence and confrontation. Balancing the energetic body first may liberate and prepare the body to release physical ailments symptomatic of deeper emotional and mental stress. We each incur more than a “bodyfull” of various stress in one year, let alone, a lifetime. Stress build up leads to natural self-defensive reactions that may cause hypertension and hyper-anxiety. The system becomes more and more vulnerable if these blocks are continually stored and not removed. Energy healing is a holistic approach to the entire mind, body, soul complex, enabling the personal transformation of each individual into the Being they live to become.
Reflexology, formalized by Eunice Ingham, developed over thousands of years with massage and holistic bodywork. Therapeutic massage is applied to the feet and hands in particular areas in order to affect organs and divisions throughout the human body. Our hands and feet are the most utilized parts of the body with highly developed sensory cognition. Reflexology is documented to have amazing healing affects on long-term illness and organ balancing. By breaking up deposited acids and toxins trapped in these complex structures the immune system may strengthen and increase the excretion of unwanted and unhealthy chemicals in the body.
Therapeutic Cupping is an ancient Eastern technique that uses suction of glass cups over broad regions on the body to reduce tension and draw fluid out of the area by increasing lymphatic flow and circulation of blood to the target tissue. It can be essential to relieve upper respiratory track and chest congestion at the onset or in the middle of a cold. This application helps purge toxins from the body as a whole and may also be key for pain relief from prolonged muscle tension.
Medicinal Aromatherapy is a technique that uses mental and emotional recognition through the stimulus of “scentsation.” Scent receptors in the nose and sinus have a direct relationship to the emotional sensory portion of the brain. When we smell aromas anywhere our memory is provoked and we relate to someone or some place that we associate the scent too. Each memory provokes an emotion we experienced or concluded from a particular circumstance. This reaction may be conscious or sub-conscious. In a therapeutic setting organic scents are utilized to inspire calming and/ or stimulating affects. This motivates the body into a state of meditation and balance where healing may take place. Physical dysfunctions, pain, headaches, and emotional or mental trauma may be relieved. Aromatherapy offers a plethora of resources for healing the heart, mind, and body. Essential oils used in this therapy may be used in various ways, including cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceutical remedies, teas, hypnotics, sedatives, household cleansers, and bug repellent!
